Both volumes of James Edward Smith's treatise were published in 1797 with this self-explanatory title, The natural history of the rarer lepidoterous insects of Georgia, including their systematic characters, the particulars of their several metamorphoses, and the plants on which they feed; collected from the observation of Mr. John Abbot, many years resident in that country. The work was written in two languages, English and French, and was illustrated with color plates, 44 cm in size.

Available in 13 x 19 inch size for $40 and 8 x 10 inch size for $20, these images are printed on archival paper with archival inks, designed not to fade or discolor. Each print comes with information on the name of the plant, its published source and print detail. This letter of explanation is printed on acid-free paper and can be attached to the back of the framed work for future reference.
